Wildlife public
meeting is Feb. 15
Colorado Wildlife Commissioners Roy McAnally of Craig and Tom Burke of Grand Junction are planning a public meeting in Craig to get input on wildlife issues.
Commissioners typically hold meetings around the regions they represent to visit with constituents and cover a wide range of wildlife topics.
Colorado Division of Wildlife staff members also attend meetings to help answer questions and provide information.
The wildlife commission is an 11-member board appointed by the governor that sets policies for fishing, hunting, watchable wildlife and non-game, threatened and endangered species.
Commissioners also oversee DOW land purchases and property regulations.
The public meeting will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 in the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavillion, 640 E. Victory Way.
