The houses have been lit up.
The drives to look at the nominated houses have been made.
And the judging is in.
Clint Gabbert's work and design at his 11327 County Road 103 location impressed judges, not just with how it lit up the night sky, but also with how it was coordinated to light up with music.
Last year, Gabbert's house finished second in the contest.
Coming in second this year was David and Tammie Johannes' house at 1125 County Road 30. Third place went to Matt Cassidy at 885 Rose St.
Honorable mention went to Tim and Joyce McClanahan at 870 Finley Lane.
Contest winners will get prizes, including: first place, $200; second place, $125; third place, $75; and honorable mention, $50. All prize money was donated by Yampa Valley Electric. All winners also will receive a 1-year subscription to the Craig Daily Press.
The contest was open to all Craig and Moffat County residents. Seventeen houses were judged, with owners and friends submitting their decorated houses for the contest.
