Certain smells seem to show up around this time of year more than usual. And the goodies, oh my.

Candy and cookies, I believe, lead the rest of the stuff.

My daughter, Jane, redid my gingerbread house. I was too late for entering it in the contest.

But it doesn't matter, I think it is beautiful.

And I got to eat some of the leftover candy, pretzels, etc.

I believe in catching up on my Christmas cards that are pending, so I'll catch up on birthdays for this week.

I have happy birthdays for Marion Corrow and Richard Self.

A get well and a speedy recovery to Linda Nichols, Marti Cisar, Berna Blackburn, Susan Weiss and Karen Prince.

Thank yous to the Northwestern Home School Association for sharing their time and cookie decorating with Sunset Meadows.

Thank you also to Yampa Valley Brass for an enjoyable evening on Dec. 10.

The McDonald's Senior Breakfast is Wednesday. There is Wellness Exercise at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Meadows, also.

Like always, the Sunset Meadows potluck is noon Friday. Come join us.

Due to the Christmas holiday, there will be no meal or bus service Dec. 24 and 25.
