Fund created for woman's passing
Craig Craig resident Betty Stoffle passed away Sunday night, after fighting a long battle with Lupus.
Visitation is planned for 3 p.m. today at Grant Mortuary. Wake services include a rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 678 School St. Following a Catholic mass, the procession will travel to Craig Cemetery, after which people will be invited back to St. Michael for supper.
Friends of the family set up a memorial fund to help pay funeral costs at the First National Bank of the Rockies, 600 Yampa Ave.
Anyone wishing to contribute can make donations to the Elizabeth "Betty" Stoffle Memorial Fund.
Betty is survived by her husband, Anthony, and her son, Tony Scapardine, who are both Craig residents.
Betty worked for several years at The Memorial Hospital. Her husband worked with the Moffat County Sheriff's Office for a number of years, first in the jail and eventually as the resident deputy in Maybell.
