To the Editor:

We would like to thank the Moffat County Child Care Providers for an excellent job on presenting the Babysitting Clinic to the children of our community. They provided children of babysitting age with a lot of valuable information and with many items they could use while babysitting.

Each child completed 18 hours of training in child development, universal precautions, nutrition, crafts, fire safety, basic first aid, guidance, business practices, diapering and curriculum planning.

They also had to complete 20 hours of clock training in a licensed child-care center.

We encourage the community to get behind them and help them to continue to provide this valuable course to the children in our community.

We feel this course is an asset to all children even if they do not babysit as they learn how to handle younger children and infants.

Thank you to all those who help the Moffat County Child Care Providers offer this course with donations and time. You did an excellent job.

We had two girls attend, and we feel they received a lot of valuable information from this class. We hope when our youngest daughter, who is 10, is old enough, the Moffat County Child Care Providers will still be offering this class.

As a community, let’s give the support and supplies they need so they can continue to offer this valuable class in the future.
