Post office to present Alpine Tundra stamps

Ten wildlife and scenic United States postage stamps will be unveiled in their natural setting of Rocky Mountain National and Estes parks on Aug. 28.
The U.S. Postal Service and National Park Service officials will present the new 41 cent Alpine Tundra stamps. The stamps will be available at post offices nationwide Aug. 28.
The pane of 10 stamps is the ninth in an educational series designed to promote the appreciation of major plant and animal communities in the U.S.
The national Alpine Tundra stamp ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park, located at the east main entrance on Highway 36.
