It is the small delights and surprises that make running a small business in Craig so wonderful.
On the Monday following the long-heralded release of the seventh Harry Potter book, a nice woman came into the bookstore with a package. She explained that she had inadvertently ended up with two copies of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and wondered if I knew anyone who would like her extra copy.
“Oh, yes,” I told her; I knew just such a young man. That young man came in the next day, and we gave him the book.
I would like to thank that kind woman for brightening this young man’s life. The following is the letter he wrote to her (we didn’t get her name):
“Thank you for the Harry Potter book. It means so much to me! I am on chapter five! I jumped up and down when I got the book and screamed. Thank you so much!”
