Invite brings track athletes home
Boys, girls relay teams fare well with first-, second-place finishes

The Clint Wells Invitational track and field meet entertained hundreds under blazing sunny skies at Moffat County High School Friday evening.
The girls 800-meter medley team of Kylie Bauman, Melissa Blackstun, Erin Urbanoski and Alicia Nelson began the meet with a second-place finish of 1 minute, 54.17 seconds.
The boys 3,200-relay team of Drew Turner, Mike McNicol, Jeremy Bird and Jacob Miller clocked a first-place time of 8:21.89.
Erin Urbanoski came in first in the 100 hurdles in 13.04 seconds. Bauman placed fourth with 13.6 and Melissa Blackstun eight-place with 13.88.
The 3,200 girls relay team of Katy Nottingham, Katie Knez, Megan Knez and Alisha Stephenson came in fifth in a time of 11:13.66.
Alicia Nelson came in second in the 1,600.
For the boys 1,600, McNicol came in fifth-place in a time of 4:50.01.
Markie Workman topped all her competitors in the high jump by clearing 4 feet, 10 inches. Danielle Brockman cleared 4 feet, 6 inches for third place.
In the boys 800, Bird sprinted past his competition en route to a first-place time of 1:59.13.
The duo of J.T. Haddan (first, 49 feet, 1.5 inches) and Cory Pike (second, 46 feet, 6 inches) led the field in the shot put.
