Laura Josephine "Jody" Salisbury was born July 6, 1929, in Savery, Wyo., to Samuel P. "Dutch" and Mildred (Cullens) Morgan. She was raised and attended school in Savery. She attended the University of Wyoming where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree and later received a Master's degree from a college in Long Beach, Calif.
Jody was a school teacher and taught in Colorado; Baggs, Wyo.; Salt Lake City; Mesa, Ariz.; and Green River, Wyo.
She married Bill Duncan in 1950 and they were later divorced. Jody married Albert Salisbury in 1969. They spent their summers at Battle Creek and lived in Mesa, Ariz., in the winter.
Jody died April 4 at the Brookside Inn in Castle Rock.
She is survived by her brother, Sam Morgan, of Savery, Wyo.; niece, Robin (Fred) Pickering, of Elizabeth, and their daughters Ami and Erin; nephew, Rod Morgan, of Savery, Wyo.. and his daughter, Aleasha Finley; four great nephews, stepdaughter, of Connie (Reed) Priebee, and her step grandchildren Heidi Dowling and Rob Priebee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dutch and Mildred Morgan, and her husband, Albert Salisbury.
Funeral services took place Wednesday, April 11 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Dixon, Wyo., with Pastor Doug Wasinger officiating. Pallbearers were Pat Waldron, Rod Morgan, Fred Pickering, Tom Morrison, Jack Cobb and Curt Ogburn.
Interment followed in Reader Cemetery.
