County receives conservation funds
Moffat County has received funding for livestock water hauling practices under the Emergency Conservation Program.
The Moffat County Farm Service Agency is accepting applications for cost share assistance for water hauling expenses from Oct. 10 to 30. This assistance is available for reasonable livestock water hauling expenses incurred from July 21 to Nov. 17 for eligible livestock.
Eligible livestock includes beef, sheep, goats and domestic buffalo. Horses are eligible only if they are used as a necessary part of an eligible livestock operation.

High school holds senior parent meeting
Moffat County High School hosts senior parent meetings Tuesday and Thursday.
Both begin at 6 p.m. in the high school library, 900 Finley Lane. Parents may attend either meeting.
They are meant to help walk students and parents through the college admission process.

Veterans Service Office closed next week
The Veterans Service Office will be closed Wednesday through Oct. 6 for training in Denver.
The Routt and Rio Blanco county service officers also will be attending.
Bill Harding, Moffat Coun--ty's veterans service officer, will be in the office until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
All vet transports during this period will be handled by Dick Maxson, the van driver.
