To the editor:
I would like to voice my support of Colorado Northwestern Community College's upcoming ballot initiative to retain its current mill levy. It is money well-spent.
CNCC is continuing to take concrete steps to make its vision a reality. CNCC has found its niche. The nursing, power plant technology and industrial electricity programs will be meeting the needs of students and businesses in this corner of the state for many years to come.
Someday, a larger campus with dormitories will serve to make Craig a more vibrant and economically stronger community. I hope that it's not too long before that needed expansion can come to fruition. Students from outside of our community will be drawn to Craig to enroll in the specialized associate degree programs. A growing college will grow our economy in a positive way.
CNCC gets my vote of confidence, because it's starting to hit its stride and transforming itself into something special.
