Nikki McLeslie: We're rely too heavily on computers

To the editor:

I would like to write about something that happened on Friday evening.

We called a local (restaurant to order food) at about 6 p.m. I was told that their computers were not working and they would not be able to deliver and were closing for the evening. What a sad state for our society today.

Just because a computer isn't working is not reason to close a business. Do we no longer know how to operate without a computer? I feel extremely sorry for my children and the youths of today. I own a business in town, and I am proud that we are computerized, but we do know how to operate our business without the computer.
