Disability Mentoring Day to be held today
The Craig Workforce Center will offer Moffat County High School students with disabilities an opportunity to explore career options with local employers today during Disability Mentoring Day.
"This is the first year we've offered this day of mentoring, said Julie Elliot, the disability program navigator with the Craig Workforce Center. "We asked the students to identify the types of businesses they were interested in learning more about. They expressed an interest in law enforcement, animal care, auto mechanics and several others. Needless to say, we have a full day planned."
And, those are exactly the types of jobs students will have a chance to research on Wednesday.
The itinerary for the day includes visits to McCandless Animal Hospital, the Public Safety Center, Chapman's Automotive and the Craig Parks and Recreation Department.
