Kmart holds toy drive to benefit kids club

Kmart kicked off its KartWheels for Kids campaign, a national holiday toy drive, this week. Boys & Girls Club of America will benefit from the drive.

"We are extremely grateful to Kmart for holding this toy drive," said Jonathan Godes, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Craig. "So many of the kids we serve would not be receiving a toy for the holidays otherwise."

Kmart is accepting new toys at its stores through Dec. 20. Each week, Boys & Girls Club officials will visit the local Kmart store, 1198 W. Victory Way, to collect the donated toys.

The toys will be wrapped and given to the parents of club members whose circumstances may not allow them to buy such item for their children.

For more information, call the Boys & Girls Club at 826-0411.
