- Charles B. Hayes, 77, of Grand Junction, passed away Friday at Mantey Heights Rehabilitation Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1929, in LeCross, Kan., the son of Charles and Genevieve Mlinek Hayes. Charles married Dorothy Stice on Oct. 7, 1977, in Grand Junction. He was employed as a machinist for the Blanchart Machine Co. and later Emerson Music Co.
