Frank James Harvey was called home to be with his Lord on May 9, 2006. Frank was born to Frank J. and Cordelia Jewett Harvey in Sterling on Sept. 22, 1920.
The family moved to CaÃ±on City in 1921 where he attended school and graduated from high school.
He married his childhood sweetheart, Virginia L. Mock of CaÃ±on City on Jan. 13, 1940. To this union were born three daughters, Virginia Lee, Annette Marie and Donna Jean.
During their lifetime, the family lived in Alma, Fairplay, Steamboat Springs and Craig. Frank was associated with Texaco for more than 38 years. He retired in 1979 because of ill health and moved to Clifton, where he adapted to a new way of life. His hobbies were model trains, camping, boating, and fishing. He enjoyed his yard and garden and shared his bounty with family and friends. He loved to visit, telling stories and reminiscing. He will be dearly missed.
He was an active member of whatever church he attended and enjoyed being on the board and serving as a lifetime Deacon of the Clifton Christian Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Lee; two daughters, Virginia Lee (Leonard) Allen of Battlement Mesa; and Donna J. Morrison of Craig; granddaughters, Susan Allen of Glenwood Springs and Denise Conrad of Collbran; special family friend Dominique Braud of Minnesota; one nephew; and three nieces.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Annette, two sisters, one brother and a son-in-law Jerry Morrison.
Interment was at Lakeside Cemetery in CaÃ±on City in the family plot.
