'So far, so good' for new dentist

Coming from North Carolina, Gregory Reinhold knows a thing or two about Southern hospitality.

But when Craig's newest dentist arrived in town a few weeks ago, he found people in Northwest Colorado practicing the same kind of hospitality as the people down South.

"I thought that was Southern hospitality," Reinhold said. "But I guess there must be some Western hospitality, too."

Reinhold, 28, is the newest dentist at John Ilko's dental office, 965 W. Victory Way.

Reinhold got his dental degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., about a year ago.

Before coming to Craig, Reinhold practiced in South Florida.

He came to Craig because he wanted to move West, he said, and has spent the first few weeks exploring Northwest Colorado's great outdoors.

The first few weeks in Craig have gone pretty well, Reinhold said.

"So far, so good," he said.

New rules for names

The state of Colorado is trying to centralize where businesses register their names.

Secretary of State Gigi Dennis announced Friday that beginning May 30, all trade names will be filed at her office.

"Currently a portion of trade name registration is handled by the Colorado Department of Revenue, and the other portion is managed by the Secretary of State's Office," Dennis said. "Requiring all trade names to be filed with one agency will help alleviate questions and confusion for the public."

Trade name filings provide the public with a means of determining with whom they are doing business. If more than one record exists for the same trade name, the information provided in the trade name registration should provide adequate information to distinguish between the businesses.

The public may file and search business entity and trade name documents on the Secretary of State's Web site at www.sos.state.co.us.

For more information about trade name registration, visit the Secretary of State's Web site, www.sos.state.co.us.
