Make the distinction

As the illegal immigration debate goes on, I would like to say that at my home, my good neighbors are welcome. I expect them to knock on the door for me to admit them. I don't expect them to just walk through my unlocked door and expect from me the privileges of family -- not only meals and shelter, but also their health care, schooling, etc. And if I should refuse to provide these things, I would not appreciate their demonstrating and complaining to the world how heartless I am.

Some people who say that those who take a stand against illegal immigration are against all immigration. That is completely untrue, and it is ridiculous if people can't make the distinction between legal and illegal.
