CNCC honors students, staff
Gene Bilodeau, Colorado Northwestern Community College Craig campus dean, will provide greetings and introduce the college's new president, John Boyd, to begin the Craig campus recognition ceremony at 6 p.m. today at the Moffat County High School auditorium.
CNCC student body president Jacqueline Archuleta and Mary Karen Solomon are the keynote speakers.
Awards will be presented to outstanding faculty, Mary Karen Solomon; outstanding adjunct faculty, Karen Stillion; and outstanding classified staff, Dorothy Brown. The Albin Salton Nursing Scholarship Award will be presented by Suzanne Frappier. Other awards are outstanding freshman, Elizabeth Dunn; outstanding sophomore, Julie Jantz; Who's Who students; and GED graduates.
Officers and members of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society will be inducted, and student government members and officers will be recognized during the ceremony. Craig campus student government officers are Cathy Carpenter, adviser; Archuleta, president; Lenaya Nayden, secretary; Amber Breslin, vice president; and Carrie Wilkinson, treasurer.

Huck Finn Fun Day set for June at Loudy-Simpson Park
Huck Finn Fun Day is set for 8 to 10:30 a.m. June 3 at Loudy-Simpson Park.
The annual event is sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wats Post 4265 and Ladies Auxiliary and Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Age groups are 1 to 8 and 9 to 15.
No licenses are required, but children are restricted to four fish each.
Prizes are presented for fish caught and best Huck Finn and Becky Thatcher costumes. Hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks are available.
