To the editor:
Earlier this week, JB Chapman attended the Moffat County High School Parent Accountability Committee (PAC) meeting, presenting a check for $1,448 to the committee.
These monies, part of the Chapman Automotive "Keep Education Rolling" program, combined with funds donated earlier this school year, total more than $2,000 donated to MCHS. This does not include funds so generously donated to other schools in the district.
When approved for this corporate sponsorship, Chapman did not restrict the fund usage, but instead asked for the funds to be distributed as determined by the building level PAC. At MCHS, the PAC determined that the funds would be used to "provide support to the educational pursuits at Moffat County High School, to continue to improve the quality of public education at Moffat County High School." Teachers will be able to apply in the fall for these funds to be distributed annually.
JB and Paula Chapman, along with their team at Chapman Automotive Service Center, should be commended for their commitment to education in Moffat County. I strongly encourage you to stop by Chapman Automotive or to send a note to say, "Thanks!" to JB, Paula and their crew.
They truly embody the spirit of teamwork that is necessary to "Keep Education Rolling."
