Lucas E. Wiser was born on June 4, 1987, in Fargo, N.D., to Lance E. and Debra Katherine (Littlepage) Wiser. When Lucas was 7, his family moved to Craig, where he attended school, graduating from Moffat County High School in 2005.
Lucas worked at City Market in the video department and was a bagger, and at Northwest Ready Mix. At the time of his death, he was a bullganger at Twentymile Coal Company.
Lucas was very adventurous and enjoyed snowboarding, motocross, hunting and camping. When he was younger he played soccer and hockey. Lucas was a very polite and honest young man who was dearly loved by his family. He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle. Whenever you needed him, he was there.
Lucas died Saturday, April 22, 2006, as a result of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident southwest of Hayden.
He is survived by his mother, Debra Littlepage of Denver; father, Lance E. Wiser of Hamilton; sisters, Erica (Harry) Tripp of Craig and Kylie Wiser of Galesburg, N.D.; brother, Ryan Wiser of Fargo, N.D.; nieces, Skylar and Sydni Tripp of Craig; grandparents, Jack and Judy Kraft of Dilworth, Minn.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, all of whom will truly miss him.
A funeral was on Friday, April 28, 2006, at First Christian Church in Craig with Pastor Phillip Gibson officiating. Interment followed in Craig Cemetery.
