Elisa Shackelton: Thanks for help with 4-H convention
To the editor:
This month, the Moffat County Extension Office helped host more than 225 4-H youths from seven Northwest Colorado counties at the 13th annual District Retreat. With a group this size, it can be very challenging to accommodate more than 45 workshops. But thanks to Colorado Northwestern Community College and The Boys & Girls Club of Craig, which generously made their facilities available to our group, we were able to fit all of the kids and presentations into comfortable spaces. Pepsi-Cola Bottling also very generously donated water and sodas for the entire group that were enjoyed during an afternoon break.
I am continually impressed with the acts of generosity and support shown by businesses and agencies in Moffat County. It is a great place to work and live! To keep much-needed gathering places such as The Boys & Girls Club of Craig available free to community groups, please consider making a contribution to them during their annual fundraising campaign that is happening now. Not only do they provide much-needed after-school supervision and enrichment for our children, but they also provide an incredible facility for everyone in our community to play, learn or conduct business.
