Today

10 to 11 a.m. A playgroup for children meets at the Early Childhood Center at the Moffat County School District administration building, 775 Yampa Ave. Children up to kindergarten age are welcome. Call Karra at 326-8553.

5:30 to 7 p.m. St. Michael Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus hold their annual St. Patrick's Day dinner at the church hall, 678 School St. Suggested donations are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Call 824-3628.

6:15 p.m. The Elks host bingo every Friday night. This week, doors will open at 5 p.m., and play begins at 6:15 p.m. The pot will be more than $1,700. Call Dora Watson at 824-2251.

Saturday, March 18

9 a.m. A Moffat County Habitat for Humanity workday is at the first Craig project home, 745 Yampa Ave. Take work gloves, hammers and crowbars. Call Greg Smith at 620-0974.

Sunday, March 19

2 to 4 p.m. Happy Hands Crochet Club meets at 655 Ranney St. to learn to make a toothbrush rug. Take material cut or torn into 2-inch strips. The pattern and toothbrush are on sale at the meeting. Call Mary Walters at 824-2923.

Monday, March 20

5:30 p.m. The Moffat County Library board of trustees meets at the Craig branch, 570 Green St.

Tuesday, March 21

All branches of the Moffat County Libraries are closed for training and computer upgrades.

Wednesday, March 22

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Hayden Order of Eastern Star Chapter 99's annual potato bar is at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall in Hayden. The cost is $6.50 for a baked potato, salad, dessert and drink. Call Dora Watson at 824-2251.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Craig Chamber of Commerce sponsors a free business after-hours mixer at the Holiday Inn of Craig. This month's host is Rocky Mountain Health Plans. The community is invited.

6:15 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary holds bingo at the VFW, 419 E. Victory Way. The public is invited to attend.

7 p.m. Heartbeat, a support group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, meets at First Congregational Church, 630 Green St. Call 824-6541.

Thursday, March 23

10 and 11:30 a.m. Story-time is at the Craig branch of Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St. The theme is trains. Call 824-5116.

7 p.m. The Homeschool Speech and Drama Club presents its spring production in the Craig Middle School auditorium, 915 Yampa Ave. Admission is free.
