Arnold L. Miller

Arnold L. Miller was born on Nov. 5,1950, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Lester B. and Gertrude Miller. He was raised and attended school in Kalona, Iowa.
Arnold married Rebecca Rae "Becky" Yoder on Oct. 17, 1970, in Parnell, Iowa, and to this union a daughter, Hannah, was born. They lived in various places in Iowa including Kalona, Iowa City and Wellman before moving to Denver. Arnold later moved to Steamboat Springs, where he worked on construction of the Hayden Station power plant as a high rigger mechanic and in 1976 he moved to Craig where he worked on building the Craig Station power plant. More recently he had been working in Connecticut, New Hampshire and Wyoming before retiring in March of this year due to his declining health.
He was a member of the Boilermakers union and enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting and shooting.
Arnold died at his home on June 20, 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Miller of Craig; daughter, Hannah Miller of Craig; mother-in-law, Orpha Yoder of Kalona, Iowa; sister-in-law, Roseanna Yoder of Chicago, Ill.; and brother-in-law, Robert L. Yoder of Kalona, Iowa.
His father, Lester, mother, Gertrude, and father-in-law, Raymond Yoder, preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at First Christian Church with Pastor David Carrick and youth minister John Graler officiating. Members of the Craig Mennonite Church provided music.
