To the editor:
I would like to take a moment to say thank you to several members of the community. My family and I were involved in a vehicle accident May 28, just south of Hamilton at Highway 13 and Moffat County Road 41.
Even though we live in different communities, over the years you meet people you compete against, work with and sometimes socialize with.
I would like to say how much I appreciate the care that my family received from the Craig fire and ambulance crews. It was good to see K.C. again. The hospital emergency doctor and crew made us feel confident and calm. Thank you for that. The Colorado State Patrol troopers who investigated the accident were very helpful and understanding.
To the passerby who stopped before the emergency crew arrived, I say a big thank you. In particular, I would like to say thank you to the couple that stopped and sat with my wife. I apologize for forgetting names, but I understand that she is a Routt County School nurse. Thank you for your concern and blankets.
To the gentleman driving the other vehicle, I hope you are doing fine.
I know I am forgetting someone, and I apologize. Our family is healing and thank God the injuries were not worse. So please, when you see these folks, shake their hands and give them a big hug, because they stepped in when someone was in a time of need.
