Keith C. Gillam Jr. was born on Nov. 27, 1978, in Craig, to Keith and Agnes (Lampe) Gillam. He was raised and attended school in Craig.
Keith lived in Craig until moving to the Denver area three years ago. He was working as a security guard for a private security company and was assigned to the Archdiocese of Denver facilities.
Keith enjoyed camping, hiking and biking.
He died on Thursday, May 25, 2006, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Aurora.
He is survived by his son, Ethan Gillam of Texas; mother, Agnes Gillam of Craig; sister, Stacy (Barry) Mertis of Black Hawk, S.D.; brothers, Lennie (Lori) Gillam of Craig, Tim (Niki) Gillam of Woodby Island, Wash., and Robert Gillam of Craig; and friend, Dawn Miller and son, Wesley, of Texas.
His father, Keith, and grandparents, Curtis and Josephine Gillam and Ben and Catherine Lampe preceded him in death.
A funeral was Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Grant Mortuary with Mervin Johnson officiating. Musical selections on CD were "The Adventure," "I Will Praise You In The Storm," and a special song by Barry Mertes.
Pallbearers were Lennie Gillam, Tim Gillam, Bob Gillam, Joe Balzer, Barry Mertes and Wayon Owens. Interment was at Craig Cemetery next to his father, Keith Sr.
