Mary Hannon: Hospice/VNA in Craig has caring staff
To the editor:
During the 20 years I have lived in Craig, it became home to me for many reasons -- but especially because of the people, yes, the good people, the friendly people, the helpful people, so evident in Craig.
Then my husband Clarence had a battle with cancer, and we discovered a new group of people. The Hospice/Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, which again proved that Craig certainly was a good place to call home. For three months, as my husband battled this disease, each one who entered our home gave loving, compassionate, caring attention to both my husband and to me. During his last days and on into his death, they helped to make a most difficult time easier for us in so many ways. How fortunate we are in our town to have this service available.
Mere words cannot convey our appreciation and gratitude to them, and that is why we requested if anyone desired to make a donation in Clarence's name it should be to the Hospice/VNA -- a well-deserving group.
