Nadine Maye Blandford Anderson
Nadine Maye Blandford Anderson passed away July 12, 2006, at the Oaks Assisted Living Center in Fruita, where she lived for the past two months. She was 73 years old.
Nadine was born in Steamboat Springs on Feb. 18, 1933, to Joseph and Thelma (Jackson) Blandford. She was the oldest of eight children. She married Joseph L. Anderson on Dec. 18, 1951, in Grand Junction. Together they raised five children.
She enjoyed singing, gardening, her pets, genealogy and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed her many friends within the community and church. Nadine served as a genealogy missionary in Salt Lake City, researching English census records.
We will all remember her for her friendliness and cheerfulness.
Her husband, Joe; brother, Charles; sister, Kathy; son-in-law, John Bradley; and great-grandson Brent Sharrock preceded her in death.
She is survived by her five children, Edward Anderson of Yakima, Wash., Ann Francis (Dick) of Yakima, Della Bradley of San Antonio, Texas, Joette Pitts of Eagle, and Les Anderson (BettyJo) of Craig. Nadine is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday, July 19, 2006, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Craig. The viewing begins at 10 a.m. and the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Elk Mountain Cemetery in Steamboat Springs.
