The Craig Downtown Business Association is accepting donations for its annual Auction in the Park to benefit less fortunate children in need of school supplies for the coming school year.
New and nearly new items, as well as cash, are being accepted for the auction to be held at 7 p.m. July 27 at Alice Pleasant Park on Yampa Avenue in downtown Craig.
Proceeds from the sale will go toward school supplies for students who cannot afford them.

Humane Society hosts garage sale fundraiser
The Humane Society of Moffat County hosts it second annual "Caring for Craig's Critters" garage sale from 8 a.m. to noon July 22 at 827 Russell St. The society is accepting donations through July 20, including household items, small appliances, electronics, furniture, toys, sports-equipment, books, pet items and baby clothes.
Your donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided.
