A Craig man sentenced in May to probation for passing counterfeit bills was back in jail Thursday, this time on suspicion he broke into a local liquor store.
Police arrested Raymond Maley Siqueiros, 19, at a home on Yampa Avenue on Thursday night.
Police spokesman Sgt. Bill Leonard said police think Siqueiros and a woman broke a window at a local liquor store June 22 and tried to break in.
The break-in caused about $260 in damage, but nothing was stolen, Leonard said.
A judge issued warrants for Siqueiros and the woman. The woman has not been arrested.
Siqueiros pleaded guilty in March to unauthorized use of a financial transaction.
The plea was part of an agreement with prosecutors. In exchange, the District Attorney's Office dropped a forgery charge against Siqueiros.
At his sentencing hearing in May, the judge told Siqueiros that if he violates probation, he would be sentenced to jail.
Craig police arrested Sique--iros on Dec. 21 at a home on Third Street. Police seized money, a computer, several printers, drug paraphernalia and suspected stolen mail, credit cards and checks from the house, according to a statement from the Craig Police Department.
Police say Siqueiros was involved in passing more than 20 fake $100 bills at local retailers last year.
Siqueiros was in Moffat County Jail from his arrest in December until he was released in May.
Siqueiros is again being held in Moffat County Jail. His bail is set at $5,000.
