Occupation: Service Tech for Masterworks
What should your business card say you do? I service heating, refrigeration, and plumbing equipment, and part-time hockey coach.
Place of birth: Bayshore, N.Y.
When did you move to Moffat County and what brought you here? In 1996, when I bought the El Rancho Motel.
Describe your morning routine.
Hectic, trying to get things ready for the day, try to deal with the no heat calls.
How would your friends describe you? Cranky.
Have you ever had a book change your life? What was it and why?
No. I can't say I have. I've read some interesting books, but nothing that changed my life.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Anything but what I'm doing now. I was interested in airplanes.
If you could invite any four people over for dinner, who would they be and what would you serve?
To be honest, I wouldn't invite anybody (he laughs).
What are the three things you can't live without?
My kids, my dog and hockey.
What was your most embarrassing moment? This interview.
Which superhero would you be? I don't know. Would I be a superhero or a super-villain? The Penguin. It fits with my refrigeration job.
What's the worst reason you've received/given for breaking up with someone? I don't know. I guess, "I don't like you."
If you had to give up one of your five senses, which would it be? Smell. I am a plumber.
What band/performer would you stand in line to get tickets for? I wouldn't even stand in line for a hockey player, much less a band.
What music, book or movie are you ashamed to admit you love? If I'm embarrassed about it, why should I admit it?
What would you do if you won $10 million? Retire.
What do you think of the current Supreme Court nominations? It's too heavily into politics. The politicians don't care whether the guy (Samuel Alito) is qualified but whether he's for us or for them.
