Why do you do what you do? I've always been interested in law enforcement and had a chance to become a dispatcher in 1995. I moved up into investigations and evidence when dispatch moved over to state patrol.

What's something the community does not know about you? My husband and I enjoy raising reining and working cow horse quarter horses on our ranch. We also enjoy doing weddings and street fairs with our Belgian draft horses and carriages.

What's something the community does not know about you? I work for a great community. I work for a super department and supervisor. The school administrators and staff I work with are an incredible group of caring professionals. I have excellent friends and, most of all, I have an awesome husband and outstanding sons.

Why do you do what you do? At first, it was to do something different from 911 dispatching, to get outside and actually meet people. Now it's all that plus I've come to really enjoy everything with the animals.

What's something the community does not know about you? I used to be a 911 dispatcher for 13 years in Illinois and Colorado. I love to ski. I am a Chicago White Sox fan.

Why do you do what you do? Police work is one of those occupations that can be a different job every day, a new experience every day. I love working with people in all different situations. My daily goal is to make a positive impact in someone's life. The officer who inspired me to seek this career once told me, "This is the best job in the world." True statement.

What's something the community does not know about you? I attended first through fifth grade in a one-room school in Browns Park. Two of my classmates are also police officers.

Why do you do what you do? I have always wanted to work in law enforcement. As a youngster, my ambition was to be an undercover agent. Since that's not likely to happen, this job at least lets me be involved in some aspect of law enforcement.

What's something the community does not know about you? My favorite pastime in four-wheelin'. I would really like to drive a truck in a Baja race (or a Lamborghini in a road race).

I have rebuilt my 1971 Toyota Landcruiser and put a Chevy v-8 engine in it. I enjoy fly fishing and make several trips to high mountain lakes and streams every summer.
