The 93.7/102.3 KRAI and 55Country Holiday Drive, held Thursday and Friday at Centennial Mall, raised a record $25,000 for four local agencies.
The drive also brought in 5,800 pounds of food and between 500 and 1,000 toys, station owner and manager Frank Hanel said.
"It was awesome," Hanel said. "No one's going to go without a toy this year."
The donations will benefit Advocates-Crisis Support Services, Interfaith Food Bank, Christmas for Kids and Christmas for Seniors.
He said the event included more volunteers than in years past, about 150 in all, and better organization. He said the weather was nice for the drive.
Hanel said he was amazed at the community's response, particularly because the Holiday Drive comes on the heels of the annual Moffat County United Way campaign and the Cowboy Christmas fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Craig.
"There has to be something in the water in this community that makes people give the way they have," Hanel said.
