A fundraiser for We See D.C. is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wendy's, 1280 W. Victory Way. Fifteen percent of Wendy's proceeds during the three-hour timeframe will go toward an annual trip for seventh- and eighth-graders to see Washington, D.C.

Churches host fair trade sale, Christmas Tea

The Outreach Group of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church of Grace will host its annual Christmas Fair Trade Fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the churches, 657 Green St.

The women of the churches host their third annual Victorian Christmas Tea at the same time and place.

The fair trade fair features artisans' items, as well as coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolate bars and other food items.

The Victorian Christmas Tea will include English tea and savories. Tickets should be purchased in advance by calling Susie at 824-9633.

Early childhood

meeting Thursday

Child Care Network, Moffat County School District and Moffat County Child Care Provider Association host two meetings concerning the Development, implementation and expansion of community-based early childhood systems request for proposals through the Colorado Department of Education in partnership with the Colorado Department of Human Services.

Organizers are assembling a group to write the grant for Moffat and Rio Blanco counties.

The meetings will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Dec. 14 in the school board meeting room at 775 Yampa Ave. Light refreshments will be served.
