Craig school officials emphasize safety

The Moffat County High School issued a statement Monday to emphasize school bus safety.

"As a community of concerned and caring adults, we need to put safety first before convenience," Assistant Principal Thom Schnellinger said.

School officials are asking parents and other drivers to respect school bus loading and unloading zones, flashing lights and stop signs, as well as the distance limits from buses.

They also are asking parents to pick up and drop off students in the student parking lot on the north side of the building and also to be mindful that the lane in front of the school on the south side is reserved between 2:45 and 4 p.m. for buses.
