- Ray A. Perez, 64, long time resident of Craig, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Aug. 8, 2006 after a brief battle with cancer. Ray was born June 27, 1942, in Durango to Joe and Tomasita Perez. He came to Craig in the late 1940s. Ray met and married Jo Eaton of Craig, in 1976.

- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cannon of North Sandwich, New Hampshire, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lennie Blace Cannon of Alton, New Hampshire, to Alarick A. “Erik” Holt III, also of Alton. Erik is the son of Tom and Jeannie Thornberry of Craig and Larry and Lori Holt, of Westminster. Lennie is a 1991 graduate of Interlakes High School in Meredith, N.H. Erik is a 1993 graduate of Moffat County High School and a 1998 graduate of Fort Lewis College in Durango.
