Today

4 p.m. The Craig Poetry Group meets at The Bookstore at Serendipity Coffee Shop, 576 Yampa Ave. All interested poets are welcome. Call Cheryl Miller at 824-3990.

5:15 p.m. The Humane Society of Moffat County will have its regular meeting at the Golden Cavvy Restaurant. All interested people are invited to attend. Call 870-7500.

6 p.m. Craig Youth Hockey Association has its monthly board meeting at the Moffat County Ice Arena. Call Chris Reilly at 620-0975.

6 p.m. The football parents meeting is at the Moffat County High School auditorium, 900 Finley Lane. All parents of students playing football should attend. Call 824-7036.

6 to 9 p.m. The Colorado Division of Wildlife sponsors a hunter's education class through Friday at Colorado Northwestern Community College's Craig campus. All five classes must be attended to graduate. To pre-register call the Sportsman's Information Center at 824-3046 or 272-3238.

Tuesday, Aug. 15

1:30 to 5 p.m. A meningococcal vaccination clinic runs from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association, 745 Russell St. Incoming college freshmen residing in student housing are required to receive information on meningococcal disease. Call the VNA at 824-8233 for an appointment.

7 to 9 p.m. A public meeting regarding possible improvements to Wyoming Forest Highway 26, also known as Sage Creek Road, is at the Bureau of Land Management Office, 1300 N. Third in Rawlins, Wyo.

Wednesday, Aug. 16

7 p.m. Overeaters Anonymous meets every Wednesday at First Congregational Church. Call 824-6915.

Thursday, Aug. 17

11 a.m. to noon. The Craig branch of the Moffat County Libraries hosts story time at the Craig City Park. The theme for this week's story time is "animals, animals." Everyone is invited to pack a lunch and join the fun.

7 to 8 p.m. The Craig Cancer Support Group meets at the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association conference room, 745 Russell St. Members will finalize plans and costumes for the Relay For Life. Anyone wanting to walk is welcome to come to the meeting.

7 p.m. The Yampa Valley chorus of Sweet Adelines International meets at Sunset Elementary School. Call Ivy Davis at 824-5746.

Friday, Aug. 18

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mothers of Preschoolers hosts its yearly registration drive in front of Kmart. Call Amanda Love at 824-3040.

Saturday, Aug. 19

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The second annual Creative Materials and Techniques Fair is at the Craig Holiday Inn, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13. Call 824-8809.
