The Craig/Moffat County Economic Development Partnership has its Business Development Update.

The topics discussed are access to capital, economic growth with access to capital and understanding sources of money for your business.

Scott Ford, of the Small Business Resource Center at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs, is the featured speaker.

The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holiday Inn of Craig, 300 S. Colorado Highway 13.

Participants may have two free drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Everyone is invited.

Ask-A-Lawyer Night on Tuesday at library

Do you need help or information with a civil legal problem?

The Northwest Colorado Legal Services Project and Moffat County Library are sponsoring "Ask-A-Lawyer Night" from 5:50 to 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at Moffat County Libraries, 570 Green St.

This is a drop in first-come first-serve private consultation for 10 to 15 minutes with a member of the Northwest Colorado Bar Association. "Ask-A-Lawyer Night" is a free service for low-income residents.

Cheerleader hosts fundraising yard sale

Amber Luker is hosting a yard sale to raise money for her cheerleading sports tour trips to Hawaii and Australia.

The yard sale is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 2 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 3.

Donations may be dropped at 810 Finley Lane by May 13.

Mite Society hosts bazaar on Saturday

The Mite Society of First Christian Church hosts its annual Spring Bazaar and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in the church fellowship hall, 960 W. Victory Way. The Joy Circle of First Christian Church has its annual plant sale in conjunction with the bazaar.

The event features a variety of crafts, home-based goods and a variety of gift items.

Home-baked sweet rolls and coffee or tea also will be available at the event.
