Mary Jane Alexander: Appreciation for those at Moffat library
April 4, 2006
To the editor: I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the ladies at the Moffat County Library. I have been mostly housebound this past year and have a favorite Christian author. When they didn't have the book in, they went as far as the Eastern Slope to find the book I wanted. I truly appreciate the time and trouble they went to for me. Even when they had the book on the shelf they would get it and put it at the desk so my husband could just run in and get it for me. You ladies have gone beyond and above what I feel you have to do. Again it is greatly appreciated. God Bless you all.
Cathy Copeland: Huge thank you to Craig Youth Soccer kids
April 4, 2006
To the editor: I need to send out a huge thank you to the Craig Youth Soccer kids who helped with the community outreach program this weekend at the Veterans of Foreign War senior dinner that was provided by the VFW Womens Auxiliary on Saturday. As the supervisor of this project, I am so very proud of the kids who helped out and the overwhelming response that I received from the community seniors. The compliments alone made this a worthwhile adventure. The youth listed below demonstrated the utmost in manners and leadership as well as skills that pleasantly surprised me, being a mother of a teenager. To all of the following, you have my gratitude and support thank you for all you have done and look forward to working with you in the future on more community outreach projects.
Gene Counts: People need to wise up about the hospital
April 4, 2006
To the editor: I think that the people who are criticizing our local hospital have probably never spent much time in it. I have stayed in several hospitals in Colorado; Grand Junction, Denver, Steamboat Springs and Craig. I can tell you that I received as good of care in Craig, and even better than some of the others. We are very fortunate to have this hospital in our town. We don't need it drug through the mud. We are fortunate to have doctors such as Dr. Told, Drs. Dennis and Pamela Kinder and many others. We also have the best of nurses. A lot of people are alive today because of our local hospital and doctors.
