Bulldogs volleyball sweeps Rifle

The Moffat County varsity volleyball team must have been in a hurry to get back for the bonfire Thursday night.
The Bulldogs swept Rifle, 25-11, 25-7, 25-6, in Rifle on Thursday. The 24 points that Rifle scored were the fewest it had scored all season.
Moffat County has won six straight games going into its match Saturday against Glenwood Springs. The Demons beat the Bulldogs in three games the first time around, 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.
Glenwood won a tight five-game match against Steamboat Springs on Thursday evening and is now 8-1 in the Western Slope League and 13-1 overall.
Moffat County improved to 4-4 in the WSL and 7-5 overall.
The match is scheduled to begin at about 1 p.m. Saturday.
