Renewal of a 3.2 percent retail beer license for Safeway, 1295 W. Victory Way.
Issued a special events permit for the Craig Rotary Club's Diamond & Spurs dinner dance Jan. 28, 2006, at the Moffat County Pavilion.
Approved of a letter of support for the Grand, Routt and Moffat counties Narcotics Enforcement Team.
Approved the first reading of Ordinance 951, which sets the 2006 budget. A second approval is required to adopt the ordinance.

Moffat County Commissioners

Commissioners approved a request for mid-year funding for the Road and Bridge Department. The $8,400 will be spent on computer software to connect the department to the county courthouse and will come from the county's contingency fund.
Commissioners approved a personnel requisition for a commissioners' assistant. Gena Hinkemeyer resigned from the position last week.
Commissioners decided not to sign a contract with the city of Steamboat Springs for the sale of county property. Commissioners plan to sign the contract when the language is clearer.
Commissioners approved an agreement with the Colorado Department of Human Services for a Social Services contract. Before signing the contract for services, commissioners expressed concerns that the state would continue to cut funding for local social services programs.
Commissioners discussed the failure of Referendum 1A with elected officials. Commissioners said they plan to ask the state for grant money to pay for projects that they would have funded with money from the referendum.
Commissioners discussed the Sheriff's Office vehicles with Sheriff Buddy Grinstead. Of the 14 Sheriff's vehicles, eight have more than 100,000 miles. One truck has 175,000 miles.
Commissioners voted to allow the Road and Bridge Department to plow all the way to Tin Cup restaurant this winter. Normally, plows stop about a half-mile before the restaurant.
Commissioners approved the Corlett/Shue conditional use permit and a permit for the JW Operating Company.
Commissioners rejected Harvey Craft's request for a conditional use permit.
Commissioners approved the Gustin minor subdivision.
