Advocates Crisis Support Services is looking for on-call hotline volunteers for the domestic violence/sexual assault program. A 40-hour training is required and will be starting in November. If you are someone who wants to make a difference, call Karen at 824-9709.

The Visiting Nurse Association is seeking women 40 to 63 years old who have not scheduled a mammogram or women's health exam because of income restrictions. Women who need to schedule appointments should call the VNA at 824-8233 or 871-7659.

If you served in the Vietnam or Korean wars and were exposed to Agent Orange, you need to get on the Agent Oran ge registry. Visit the Veteran's Service Office at the Colorado Workforce Center or call 824-3246, ext. 23.

6 p.m. The Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center will host its 13th annual chili supper and silent auction at the Moffat County Fairgrounds Pavilion. All proceeds benefit the center.

Monday, Nov. 7

7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunset Elementary hosts a Scholastic Book Fair. Open to families, teachers and the community, the fair will feature the medieval theme: Enter the Kingdom of Reading -- Where Books Rule.

Noon to 3 p.m. Love Inc. will distribute coats to people in need, regardless of income. The group will distribute coats at the Yampa Valley Pregnancy Center, 356 Ranney St. For information, call 824-5204.

6:30 p.m. Communidad Integrada will host a presentation on civil rights and responsibilities at Craig Intermediate School, 201 E. Ninth St. Organizers will present the workshop in English and Spanish. The event is open to the public.
