Pond open for fishing
The Moffat County Public Safety Center pond is open for fishing.
The pond is for youth fishing only, 12 and younger, and for people with disabilities who are 18 and younger.
Fishing will be allowed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is recommended that those fishing be accompanied by a responsible person.
The pond is open for fishing through Oct. 1. The fishing limit will be two fish per child. There will be no swimming, wading or boating on the pond.
The third annual Cops and Kids fishing day will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest fish caught, smallest fish caught, etc. Food and drinks will be provided by the Moffat County Sheriff's Office, Craig Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol.

Magazine recognizes Corral West retailer

The Museum of Northwest Colorado is hosting an exhibit highlighting the challenges of a small town facing the energy boom of the 1970s, featuring photos from Craig photographer Keith Gillam. British soccer camp returns to Craig
Challenger British Soccer Camp has been invited to hold one of its training camps in Craig.
Craig Youth Soccer Assoc--iation is hosting the British Soccer camp the week of June 6 at Woodbury Park.
The camp will run Monday through Friday. Children ages 5 to 9 will meet from 9 a.m. to noon. Children ages 10 to 14 will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. The cost is $85 for ages 5 to 9 and $90 for ages 10 to 14. Financial aid is available.
Challenger British Soccer Camps are a daily regimen of foot skill development, technical and tactical practices and daily tournament style plays, and lessons about teamwork, sportsmanship and self-discipline.
Each camper will receive a free camp T-shirt, soccer ball, bag tag and player evaluation.

Golf tourney to benefit Boys & Girls Club
The Third Annual Isidro Arroyo Memorial Golf Tournament at the Yampa Valley Golf Course begins at 8 a.m June 11. This is a four-person team competition, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Craig. The cost of the event is $40 and includes lunch. Call Joe Arroyo at 824-2677.

Registration for all ages will be at the Craig Branch, 570 Green St., beginning June 13. Participants may sign up any day during the program.
Participants will receive a reading log upon registering and will record their progress in the log.
