The 25th annual SmartWool Cardboard Classic is Saturday at the headwall of the Steamboat Ski Area. Waiver forms, fact sheets and rules can be picked up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the Information Center in Gondola Square. Registration is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Judging begins at noon with therace afterward. There is no entry fee, and trophies will be awarded for the most creative, the ugliest, best individual craft, potpourri and best reproductions of a person, place or thing. Everyone who enters the race will be entered into a drawing for a Steamboat 2005-06 season ski pass.
