The Colorado Northwestern Community College Foundation will host the annual scholarship fund-raising dinner dance at 6 p.m. April 2 in the Weiss Conference Center in Rangely. Attendees will be served shrimp cocktail followed by a prime rib dinner and live entertainment by Grand Junction barbershop quartet Close Harmony. CNCC student and Craig resident Jorie Hollenbeck will be the featured entertainer.
Tickets cost $30 a person or $175 for a table of six, and all proceeds from the event go toward the CNCC Foundation scholarship fund. Any current or future CNCC student can apply for scholarships through the foundation.
In 2004, the CNCC Foundation awarded $6,000 in scholarships based on funds from the fund-raiser. The foundation also received $369,000 in grants, which helped fund projects such as the Dental Hygiene Clinic remodel.
The Foundation is working on a number of projects for the coming year, including a Frisbee golf tournament slated for Craig this spring.
Tickets are available at either campus or from any Foundation member. For more information, call Nancy Hoganson at 675-2348.
