What prompted you to open your business in Craig?

I did craft fairs for years and was just going to sell the craft stuff and get out. Then I realized there was a need for something new in Craig, so Spirit Pass the store was born. It is not just a store, but a state of mind. Looking is free and fun.

Describe your

philosophy of being a good business person.

Customers come first. Being open seven days a week and on evenings, when people are not working. Also, being open at lunchtime.

How do you define the role of your

business in the community?

Bring something in for all people from all places in all price ranges. Letting people know there are places to shop in Craig.

What's the best part of your job?

The smiles on people's faces.

What's the most challenging part of your job?

Keeping up with the store and the eBay store.

What advice would you give to a young person considering opening his or her own business?

There is nothing you can't do if you work hard and put your mind to it. All things are possible as long as you do it in a honest way.
