April Dilldine is preparing her 4-year-old daughter for school. She's also preparing herself.
"I'm looking forward to starting school myself," the Veterans of Foreign Wars Restaurant waitress said.
Dilldine, who has lived in Craig off and on for 18 years, said she hopes to attend Colorado Northwest Community College and pursue a degree in business management someday.
"I would like to own my own business," she said. "A nice record store or something else along those lines. Something to bring more to Craig."
Dilldine said that, for the most part, she enjoys Craig because of the relationships she has with people in the community.
"It's just a small town where everyone knows everyone," she said.
Dilldine left Craig for a while "to go out and experience new things," but came back when her daughter was born.
Dilldine loves the the outdoor activities Craig offers and describes herself as "fun."
"I am an enjoyable person," she said. "A little crazy at times."
In her free time, Dilldine likes to go out, play Bingo and hang out with her daughter.
She said she likes working at the VFW because the hours give her free time at night.
Although she enjoys many parts of Craig, nothing brings a smile to Dilldine's face like when she comes home to see her daughter.
"My daughter is everything to me," she said. "She is my first priority."
