Larry Allan Suits

1962-2005

Larry Allan Suits died June 18, 2005, at Yampa Valley Medical Center after a brief illness. He was 42.

Larry Allan Suits was born July 3, 1962, in Grants, N.M., to Larry D. and Kittie Sue (Powers) Suits.

Suits was raised in Grants and Springer, in Illinois, and Hayden, where he graduated from high school in 1980. After high school, he attended a vocational school in Steamboat Springs, where he received training as a welder. Suits married Lorna D. Mauth on May 21, 1988, in Hayden. He worked at the Hayden power plant for 15 years, where he was the training coordinator. He enjoyed hunting and target shooting, but most of all, being with his family.

Suits is survived by his wife, Lorna D. Suits of Hayden; daughters, Amber and Jessie of Hayden; sons, Chris and Ashley of Hayden; sister, Wanda (Chad) Peppler of Steamboat Springs; aunts, Faye (James) Evans of Eugene, Ore., Brenda Suits of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Jeanie Ford of Eldorado; uncles, Gene Powers of Dallas, Texas, Bob (Loretta) Suits of Cave in Rock, Ill., and Leon (Vickie) Suits of Forsyth, Mont.; mother-in-law, Janet Mauth of Craig; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Mauth of Craig, Nanette Mauth of Steamboat Springs, and Denise (Duane) Leonard of Eaton.

Suits was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were held Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Douglas Zirkle officiating.

Special selections were "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys, "Long Black Train" by Josh Turner, "Remember When It Rains" by Josh Grobin, and "Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn.

Honorary pallbearers were "All Larry's Family, Many Friends and His Co-Workers."

Services were concluded at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to a fund for his children in care of the Bank of Colorado, 250 W. Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625.
