Eva M. Coverston of Berthoud, Colo., died June 17, 2005, at her home. She was 99.
Eva M. Coverston was born March 8, 1906, in Berwin, to John Smith and Agnes Deer.
Coverston spent most of her life in Routt County. She moved to Roundup, Mont., for a while and then to Berthoud in 1999. She married Clarence Coverston on Sept. 25, 1923, in Steamboat Springs. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Hayden Senior Citizens Group. She loved crocheting and walking, and drove a school bus in the area and worked on the ranch. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Craig and St. John's Catholic Church of Loveland.
Coverston is survived by her sons, Howard A. (Irene) Coverston of Safford, Ariz., Richard "Dick" (Phyllis) Coverston of Henderson, and Edward (Dora) Coverston of Craig; daughters Irene Carter of Berthoud and Lorie M. (Terry) McCarty of Hayden; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Coverston was preceded in death by her husband in September 1960, three brothers, three sisters, two grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
The rosary will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Craig. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church today, with Father James Fox officiating.
Interment will be at the Hayden Cemetery.
