- If someone left the Hayden Speedway Saturday without any mud on them, they were the minority. The racing for the Speedway’s Invitational races was sandwiched between two rainstorms. When a dirt track and rain mix it makes for a muddy night. For many it was a muddy, fun night.

- At the beginning of every school year, the Moffat County School District hosts a new teacher orientation meeting. Bruce Gregg, a school district employee since 1977, liked to attend the meeting to give the teachers some words of wisdom.

- June 14th marks the first anniversary of the Boys & Girls Club of Craig. When we first asked for the support of residents of Craig and Moffat County, our theme was “A Building for All — Building Kids.

- Communidad Integrada/Integrated Community is inviting English speaking community members to be a part of a unique program that involves one-on-one mentoring to local immigrants who have a desire to learn English. Currently, 20 volunteers teach English for an hour and a half each week during a three-month period to more than 25 English learners from Mexico, Africa and Central and South America.

- More than a million dollars worth of coin and currency memorabilia was on display at Centennial Mall over the weekend. Tiah’s second annual Coin & Currency Show brought dealers from all over the state, Utah and Nebraska who convened to buy and sell coins, offer customers advice and to spread the word about coin collecting.
